Plant Food Farm will grow over 40 different herb and vegetables varieties during the 2025 season! In the future, I will also be growing culinary and medicinal mushrooms and a few types of berries.

As a new grower, I’m prioritizing consistent, fresh, high quality common vegetables and herbs — the staples that most people use in everyday cooking. In the future, I will explore heirloom and unique cultivars to keep weekly harvest shares fresh and exciting.

Meet the Team

After selling a software startup I helped create, I followed my gut and decided somewhat unexpectedly (even to myself) to open a small organic farm.

Three years and a whole lot of blood, sweat, and tears later, I finally had seeds in the ground in May of 2024! It’s been well worth the effort, and I am thrilled to be growing delicious and healthy plant-based foods for all who want to enjoy them!

My Growing Practices…

Farmed by hand —

I designed the farm around a basic principle: keep it small, and keep it simple. Avoiding heavy machinery helps protect the soil as well as my bottom line. Besides a tough two-wheel tractor, everything at the farm is done with hand tools.

Farming by hand is hard, but it’s worth the effort. It allows me to grow more food in a smaller area and sequester carbon permanently in the ground year-over-year.
